Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide our future leaders with nutritional, quality meal choices through education and friendly service in a caring environment.

More than 1.9 million meals, including breakfast and lunch, were served to student and adults last year in the Fayette County school system.  Elementary students pay $1.90 for lunch and have 3 entree choices each day.  Middle and high school students pay $2.00 for lunch with 5 to 6 entree choices available at the middle schools and up to 12 entree choices at the high schools.  The high schools also offer larger portion food items, which are sold ā la carte.  Each cafeteria provides nutritious meals while reducing the amount of sodium, fat and sugar used in preparation.  The importance of nutrition is emphasized in the cafeteria from kindergarten through high school.  Each of the 150 school nutrition employees participate in annual in-service classes and staff development courses to improve their skills.
