Volunteer Mandated Reporter Training

Thank you for volunteering at Starr's Mill. Without your help we would not be able to do all of the things we do for our students. Due to a change in Georgia law all volunteers that have contact with our students are now "mandated reporters" of child abuse. This change has required schools in Fayette County to train volunteers to recognize signs of child abuse and what to do when these signs are observed. The Fayette County School system has created a training video for all school volunteers to watch in order to educate our volunteers on their responsibilities under the new state law.
