    Get ready for the upcoming school year!

     

    The following are the suggested lists by grade. Please note: This is a list of basics for the first week of school; additional items may be added at 'Meet the Teacher' in August.  

     

    ALL grades and classrooms - including Connections classes - always need, and are grateful for, the following donations:

    • Kleenex | Paper towels
    • Lysol or Clorox wipes | Hand sanitizer
    • Colored printer paper
    • Cough drops
    • Peppermints

     

    6th grade

    All Classes

    • Agenda or planner to record daily homework assignments
    • Refillable, clear plastic water bottle (no metal or glass)
    • Pencils - pencils - pencils!
    • Colored pencils (8-16 colors)
    • Glue sticks
    • Four highlighters (various colors; yellow needed for Science)
    • Earbuds or small headphones
    • Loose leaf paper, college ruled
    • Refillable plastic water bottle - no metal or glass, please

    Math

    • Math supplies are team-specific; students will receive a Math supply list at 'Meet the Teacher'

    ELA

    • One 1", 3-ring binder
    • One set of 5-tab dividers
    • Composition notebook
    • 100 notecards, 3" x 5"

    Science

    • One 1", 3-ring binder
    • Red pen
    • Yellow highlighter
    • Hand-held pencil sharpener with built-in shavings catcher and not battery-powered  
    • Composition notebook

    World Geography

    • Folders will be purchased for students
    • The supplies listed for all classes will also be needed for World Geography

     

    7th grade - updated 7/19/23

    All classes

    • Pencil pouch (not box) that contains:
      • Lots of glue sticks
      • Markers
      • Colored pencils
      • Assorted colored highlighters
      • Scissors
      • Pencils
      • Pens - blue or black ink
      • Green and red pens or fine tip markers
      • Hand-held pencil sharpener with built-in shavings catcher and not battery-powered, optional
      • Wired earbuds that fit in the student's Chromebook case - not headphones or AirPods
    • charged Chromebook (in a protective case) is required in class each day

    Science

    • One Mead 5-Star Advance, 1 subject notebook (8-1/2" x 11"), college ruled OR a similar poly-covered notebook
      • Science will also need 1-2 additional 1-subject notebooks throughout the year
    • One 1", 3-ring binder for Science

    Social Studies

    • One Mead 5-Star Advance, 1 subject notebook (8-1/2" x 11"), college ruled OR a similar poly-covered notebook
      • Social Studies will also need 2 additional 1-subject notebooks throughout the year (one per region of study)

    ELA

    • One Mead 5-Star Advance, 1 subject notebook (8-1/2" x 11"), college ruled OR a similar poly-covered notebook  
    • One 1/2", 3-ring binder (team specific)
    • One plastic prong folder with pockets

    Math

    • One plastic prong folder with pockets
    • TI 30 XA calculator, optional (like the one here)

     

    8th grade

    All Classes

    • One zippered pencil pouch
    • #2 pencils - one for every day of school
    • Highlighters (various colors)
    • Colored pencils
    • Loose leaf paper, college ruled
    • Ear buds to keep at school
    • Scissors
    • Dry erase markers
    • Non-erasable pens (blue, black and red)
    • Glue sticks

    Math

    • One 1/2", 3-ring binder
    • One set of 5-subject dividers

    Georgia Studies

    • One Mead 5-Star Advance, 3- or 5-subject notebook (8-1/2" x 11"), college ruled OR a similar poly-covered notebook

    ELA
